Nicknames: Dick, all the others are just meaningless additions to the name Dick itself. His mother also used to call him “Robin” since he was born in the spring.

Physical Appearance:
Dick possesses the body of a lean yet slightly muscular gymnast. Years of training have hardened his body to the point where virtually all of his body fat has been stripped away. He isn’t overly muscular and as stated earlier he is recognized as looking like more of a gymnast then a weight lifter. Dick is on the shorter side of the spectrum at 5’11 and posses clear sky-blue eyes and black hair of medium length. He often alternates between letting it grow or leaving it short, seeing he hates keeping his hair in a pony tail. In all honesty Dick is seen as an extremely handsome young man and its natural for young women to be attracted to him.
Dick tends to dress in casual attire. Jeans and a t-shirt will do him fine unless he is going to a special event. Dick’s vigilante costume is specifically tailored towards his unique style of crime fighting. His suit is consisted of Nomex-resistant, triple weave Kevlar-lined suit. It’s designed to allow maximum movement. He follows the philosophy of “move more, hit less”. Though as stated, his suit does have a certain level of resistance. His costume can slow and block low caliber bullets from causing him dangerous harm. He wears a variation of a domino mask that is blue and black like his suit. It sports a night vision lens and a radio transmitter. If he is going to face an opponent who knows his weaknesses and philosophy, he can simply add more armor padding’s to his suit.

The only really distinguishing mark he has is a small scar on his right thigh from a bullet wound.

Strengths:
Dick is arguably the best acrobat on the planet. When that is combined with the training of the Batman, he has become a skilled fighter who literally has created his own special brand of martial arts. His speed, strength and endurance are easily on the Olympic level. He is in peak human conditioning and is the only person on the planet who has mastered and is able to execute a quadruple somersault without breaking his neck or utterly failing. He has mastered atleast 15 forms of martial arts. This doesn’t mean he knows them, he’s mastered them therefore he knows every inch and crevice of these disciplines. One can just imagine what it would be like to face Nightwing, as stated earlier combining 15 forms of martial arts with the skills of the best gymnast in the world. He is simply one of the best martial artist in the world. He also has been trained by Batman in steal and intimidating and his suit is tailored to allow him to use darkness. He has mastered the use of escrima sticks and they are his preferred weapons.
He possesses a genius level intellect that has been honed by the Batman. He is able to speak fluently in multiple languages, He is skilled leader and strategist and has been proficient at leading the Bat Family when Batman is elsewhere or he needs someone to coordinate their attacks. He has even been able to avoid the Batman for 25 hours who is simply the best detective on the planet. That says certain things about his skill and intellect.
Weaknesses:
Dick has a habit of taking things personally. Therefore its rather hard for him to let go of grudges on criminals and people who have a negative disposition. He normally can shrug off those who have done wrong but he has easily picked up life-long enemies with villains and certain heroes because he has a hard time letting things go. Also, Dick’s martial arts rely on speed more than anything else. If he were to encounter a person who possesses both speed and strength he would have a hard time facing this person and bringing him or her down. Finally, Dick can be quite impulsive when it comes to his friends and enemies. He can rush into situations without thinking when he is face to face with something he has intense feelnigs for. Whether it be hatred or love Dick will act on his emotions in these situations unless he is able to remind himself to act with strict self control. Which may be rare.
Personality Traits:
Lighthearted
Dick has always had to deal with the fact that he is Batman’s first Robin and thus he has certain expectations to meet and excel at for the hero community. He has done this time and time again and he copes with the responsibilities that weigh him down with a light hearted nature. Dick is rather light hearted, witty and sarcastic. He always has a joke to tell and will always try to make a person feel better about him/herself. He is a natural leader and rather popular with other heroes. His maturity and sensitive nature makes it easy for him to get to know the female kind better though the normal maturity he displays isn’t always evident in relationships he is in. He has a habit of taking things personally thus one can insult him rather easily though he is ready to forgive and forget or just ignore it for the time being.
Bossy
Dick ,like every human being, has a darker side to him. It’s honestly hard to mess with the young man but certain situations can draw parts out of him that he would rather not display to others. First and foremost he can be rather bossy at times. When he is placed in a situation that literally has no room to failure one can say bye to his light hearted nature. It’s all work and no play and Dick will get up into your business to make sure your doing the job right. He is also obsessive. He won’t stop until he solves a problems. No matter what. This is intensified if someone has hurt him on an emotional level. As stated earlier he has a tendency to take everything personally. Dick hates the idea of acting like his former mentor the Dark Knight so he does his best to curve these tendencies.
A Natural Leader
Dick has a rather emphatic nature. Thus he tends to understand how people feel in certain situations this is coupled with his natural charisma which may cause most people he encounters to like him. Though Dick can be bossy, he exhibits good leadership skills. He is rather selfless and puts other people before him during a battle. He has a natural strategic mind and he normally is able to plan several steps ahead before he actually implements a battle plan. People respect him for this which is why Bruce has trusted him with leading the Bat Family. Dick still struggles with the fact that he may have to take up the mantle of the Batman but he understands that Bruce thinks he is prepared for it.
Secret(s/)Motive(s): Though Dick doesn’t want too, he is preparing himself for taking up the mantle of the Batman. Since Bruce’s absence he has been creating a Batman prototype suit that is tailored to his physical abilities and weaknesses.

History:
Richard Grayson was born on a cool night in the spring to two loving parents. His parents were well renowned acrobats who were based in Gotham City. From a young age Dick possessed a fervent desire to become an acrobat like his parents, eventually when he was old enough they agreed to train him. Even if his parents were amazed by his skills and he started to work in the circus at a very young age. Unfortunately, he lived in Gotham thus corruption was bound to occur. Crime Boss Zucco, a man who was known for extorting circuses attempted to force the circus owners to pay him extortion money so that the tent would be safe and unhindered during their performances. Dick was 8 years old that fateful night when he witnessed the Circus Owner tell Zucco’s men no. In his young mind he decided not to tell his parents the impeding danger when Zucco threatened the owner. This act haunts him for the rest of his life because he now knows that if he had said something his parents may not have died.
Bruce Wayne happened to be at the circus when the bolts were undone and he watched in sympathy and horror as Dick watched his parents fall to their deaths. Bruce couldn’t help but realize that Zucco was linked and knew that Dick had suffered from the same tragedy that Bruce had as a child. Bruce decided that he would do what he could to insure that Dick was taken care of. He funded a orphanage to insure he would get a home but due to corruption, Dick was trapped in a bad orphanage and bullied for two years. It literally took Bruce that long to use his influence to get Dick out of the environment he was in. An emotionally scarred Dick was finally taken into Bruce’s hoem at 10. Dick had a nice life but he was befuddled by Bruce’s aloofness and it didn’t take long for him to realize that Bruce was the Batman. Dick immediately wanted in on the superhero role. Bruce realized that he had the skill and mentality and he trained him rigorously for six months albeit reluctantly. Dick was ready to be Robin at 11 years old and Bruce took him out on patrols though he didn’t take him on anything extremely dangerous until he was older.
Dick eventually left the Robin mantle after a fight with Two-face went wrong. Dick was shot in the shoulder and he and Batman had a major disagreement regarding ethics. Dick eventually quit the mantle in a fit of rage and left Gotham to find himself. He wound up in Metropolis and explored a Museum that explained of ancient legends. One of them was a story of a young hero who appeared during the time of great turmoil when Metropolis had suffered from crime from the Mafia. He was known as “Nightwing” and helped purge crime. This was purely urban legend and few people knew the story. After much thinking Dick decided to take up the mantle of Nightwing. He spent time traveling the world to hone his skills. Eventually he returned to Gotham as Nightwing and triangulated between Bludhaven, New York and Gotham. He decided to start a team known as the Gotham Knights. This was purely designed as a networking and crime fighting group that did not involve the Batman. This was to insure that if the Batman ever was absent in Gotham City they would be able to handle crime without him. Since the earthquake, Dick has considered taking up the mantle fo the Batman.

He inhaled sharply before backing to the edge of the shipping container. He took a slow breath before running across the crate and jumping. It wasn't all that high from the ground so Dick had to glide upwards to maintain momentum. Luckily it was a breezy night, Dick was able to float high in the air before descending to the ground. He landed in front of the two guards on the crates. "Hiya fellas!" The men didn't get to raise their guns before Nightwing had pushed himself from his crouched position to knock both of them to the ground. He flipped upwards and landed again before standing. By then the men who had been taking inventory and the all were staring at him. Then the clicking of the guns.
