SELENA CLEO KYLE
Nicknames: Sell, Lena, Bitch
Alias[es]: Catwoman
Age: ~27
Physical Appearance:
Selena Kyle is in every way the perfect Femme Fatale. Every feature, every inch, every fiber of her being is sleek, chic, and very dangerous both to behold and get in the way of. Selena has cat like features, a narrow face with high cheek bones carved with perfection in mind. Her skin is a soft tan, a few steps up from alabaster, and there is not a blemish to be found. Her eyes are like those of Cleopatra's, sultry and smokey, and a shocking shade of electric blue. Her lips are full and succulent, usually pursed into a teasing smile that gives her an air of playfulness. Her hair is a very dark brown and reached her mid back. Each lock shines even in the dimmest of light. Her body can be described as goddess like. She is slender and slinky, but she does posses the perfect curves of breasts, hips, thighs, and butt.
Selena, whether dressed as Catwoman, or as the stunning Gotham socialite, is always wearing something elegant and revealing. Dresses that cling to her body, stilettos, designer tops that expose the soft swelling of cleavage. Selena likes to tantalize, to tease, because this is what gives her an extreme advantage. As Catwoman sh wears a body hugging leather suit, specially designed to not restrict movement, breath, and take massive amounts of wear and tear if Selena finds herself in a sticky situation. On her head she wears a specially designed head piece and large goggles. The head piece has two feline ears on it, which allow her to to pick sounds that she otherwise couldn't. The goggles she wears are equipped with night vision and infrared sights that come in handy when she is prowling the city streets.
Distinguishing Marks:
Absolutely None
Played By: Angelina Jolie
Strengths:
Agility: Selena is extremely quick, having trained and conditioned for her line of work. She can slip in and out of a building without you even noticing. Don't even think of blinking, because once your eyes open, Selena could be gone, nothing but her perfume lingering in the air. Her agility also comes in handy when she has to be stealthy, you know, when the Batman comes around trying to make trouble? Selena can blend in with the shadows of Gotham's infinite darkness, and who knows where else?
Acrobatics: Selena is an extremely gifted and well trained acrobat. Able to jump from rooftop to rooftop, climb down buildings, and balance herself on thin ledges. She can swoop down and launch herself into the air, front flipping the entire way, and like a cat, land perfectly on her feet, exercising perfect balance.
Seduction: Selena is a master in the art of making men's hearts melt. She is extremely alluring, swaying her hips, batting her eyes, and speaking in a sultry purr of a voice. This ability has gotten her out of many bad situations, most involving the Batman. She is flirty, and will sometimes pause in her escape efforts to taunt and tease her enemy, pulling them in closer, just so she can lash out.
Combat: Selena, aside from her alluring ways, is also adept at martial arts, having learned kung fu and karate when she was very young. She can keep her own in a fight, but much prefers just slinking away into the darkness. Selena always says she's a lover, not a fighter. Selena also uses a whip as Catwoman, her skills honed and refined when she worked as a dominatrix in her youth. She uses the whip to attack her enemies from far away, so they don't have the opportunity to get close. Her leather suit is also equipped with sharp claws at the ends of her fingertips which she uses in up close combat. They can cut glass and shred through Kevlar. Very handy when things get interesting.
Weaknesses:
Batman. She has an inherent respect and adoration for the man. He is both a friend and a foe, and sometimes she even finds herself HELPING the man catch other Gotham villains, you know, just for the fun of it. Selena knows full well that they'll just bust out within the week.
Bruce Wayne. Selena has no clue that Batman is Bruce's alter ego. She knows Bruce Wayne as the glamorous billionaire, and as a Gotham socialite, has been to many cocktail and dinner parties with him. She has a strong attraction to Bruce Wayne, finding him the perfect mixture of looks, power, and charm. Bruce Wayne represents everything that Selena has ever wanted in life.
Cats. She has a kinship with them, whatever breed, color, or attitude they might have. Cats represent mystery and beauty, things she infuses in Catwoman. Selena also own two Siamese cats named Ebony and Lucius.
Personality Traits:
Seductive. As Gotham's resident femme fatale, both in costume and out, Selena posses a flare for seducing men, and people's eyes are always drawn to her whenever she enters a room. Make them love to see you come, and hate to see you go.
Intelligent. Selena, underneath the glamor, is quite intelligent, having gone to a very prestigious University where she studied Ancient Egypt and Anthropology. Her problem solving skills are very sharp, and she is a dangerous chess player.
Cunning. Selena as Catwoman or not, can get herself out of any situation. She makes it a point to be ten steps in front of everyone around her, ready for anything and everything.
Secret(s/)Motive(s): Her motives remain a mystery to the ones that wish to jail her. Selena alone knows why she does what she does, and keeps it a secret, locked away in her heart for no one to see.
Family Members: Father and mother are both deceased. She was separated from her younger sister Magdalena when she was taken to a foster home for at risk women.
Partners: None. She works alone. Occasionally she has been known to help Batman here and there, whether it be pointing him in the right direction, or blatantly telling him what a villain's plans are, after teasing him for a little while of course.
History:
Selena's life was spurned from tragedy. She came from a dark and broken household with a tyrant father and weak mother. There wasn't one day when her father wouldn't beat the air out of her mother, and all Selena and her little sister, Magdalena, was watch with tears falling down their faces. Eventually the brutality became too much for her dear mother, and she slit her wrists in the bathtub. Their father, reeling from death, drank himself to death soon afterward. Selena's little sister was forced into an orphanage, but Selena escaped, taking to the streets of Gotham.
Now a street rat, Selena needed to make a living, to keep herself alive. She turned to both prostitution, and petty theft. Selena soon became a well known dominatrix, and cat burglar. Her skills in acrobatics helped her rise up in the crime world, the targets of her thievery usually expensive jewelry. However, she didn't always keep her tokens. Selena often gave them to the people who wandered the Gotham streets, cold and homeless, without places to go or money to spend. In order to defend herself in the streets, Selena learned Kung Fu, Boxing, and Karate from a famed ex-fighter, and there she learned her combat skills, using them when needed in her crimes. It wasn't until one night, spying the Caped Crusader from her window on one of his first outings, she watched him in action and was suitably inspired to take up her own costume when prowling the Gotham night.
With he growing wealth from the things she stole, Selena started to rise up in the Gotham City ranks. She used the connections she gained on the streets to create a false history behind her, even changing her last name and changing the spelling of her first so no one would make the connections. Selena soon became a common character in the upper ranks of Gotham society, mingling with the rich, famous, and well off. Though, even with her immense wealth and high standing, Selena continues to slink through the night as Catwoman, still stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. And always, Catwoman will be a thorn in the Batman's side, a thorn he is hesitant to pull out.

Roleplay example:
The city was alive. Throbbing and pulsating. Blood ran through its veins, and its breath came rough and hot. It engulfed everything, this life, squeezing into every crack, ever cranny, every shadow, and every hole. It was alive in the penthouse suites of the financial districts, and alive in the cardboard shanty homes of the gutters and alley ways. The man glittering lights of homes, streetlights, and billboards glittered everywhere you looked, like millions of multicolored diamonds. The air was thick with the sounds of car horns, police sirens, the hustle and bustle of foot traffic, and the collective murmur of those who were still awake. The city’s perfume was a mixture of exhaust fumes, humidity, cement and steel. This was Gotham City, a place of urban decayed and glorious excess. These streets were filled with trust fund babes, self made millionaires, mob bosses, criminals, and villains that didn’t fit any specific category. Mad men mixed in with corrupt men, anyone who flaunted any sense of innocence, and scrap of dignity, was snuffed out like a candle, whether it be by blade or bullet. This was the place she lived in, grew up in, and would probably die in.
Selena Kyle, dressed up in her leather, in the form of her alias, Catwoman. She was a being of the night, a creature of shadow. She stood on the roof of a lower eastside apartment building, surrounded by the stain of poverty and degradation. She looked out over Gotham, a soft wind coming in from the west, but the protection of the body binding cat suit numbed her to its winter sting. Selena moved a hand up to the large pair of goggles that covered her eyes and pressed a button. Instantly her surroundings were made clearer in the hue of green that indicated her night vision was operating correctly. A few more moments later she stepped off the edge of the roof, falling down through the air until she hit the floor of a fire escape. In one fluid movement she was on the nearest railing and jumping through the air, a dark alley beneath her, twenty or so feet below her. She landed on an opposite fire escape and then started to climb up the brick wall, the momentum for her jump pushing her forward, and the claws at her fingertips keeping her from slipping. She was now on a roof of another building, running swiftly across it, bent slightly forward, and jumping over any obstacles that were in her path like an Olympic hurdler. And just as quickly as she got on that rooftop, she had slipped off of it, into the shadow of that Gotham night.
The Gotham City Egyptian History Center stood three stories tall, all marble and stone, giant statues of a pharaoh and his queen standing the exact height of the building stood at each side of the massive glass door. Selena dove from shadow to shadow until she was at a side window. There she paused, turning on the infrared function in her goggles. It looked like her surroundings were void of human life, no security guards, or cameras in the immediate area. Selena smirked as she stood up, extending a finger to the window’s glass. As soon as the claw hit the glass she traced a perfect circle on the glass, and then very carefully pushed the glass she had just cut away forward, catching it before it fell to the floor. One more scan of the area told her the coast was clear. In the next moment, Selena had slipped through the hole, already on her way to the object of her desire.
It sat in a large box made of glass, and there were infra red security beams surrounding the entire thing. Those would be a problem, the security cameras however, were not. She had been able to shut those off with a quick visit to the security office. Selena approached the glass, careful not to get too close to the security beams. Inside was a feline statue, made entirely of diamond, glittering in the spotlights that were pointed at it. Selena marveled at the sight, licking her lips in anticipation. Slowly she extended a claw forward, just as she had done outside. Just as the tip of her claw was about to start its cutting there was a large jolt, and everything around her lurched and moved. This sudden movement caused her arm to slip into one of the security beams and the alarm was set of instantly.
“Damn it!” Selena cursed and looked around to find the source of the disruption.
Was it that Croc? No, theft wasn’t his thing. Perhaps it was that hulking Bane? No, he thirsted for other such crimes. Maybe it was one of the Joker’s bombs going off? But what would the Joker be doing here? He was more of a showman, wanting a whole audience to witness his chaos. Then suddenly the ground started to moved and shake beneath her, just as steel security doors started to slide down from the open archways of the museums.
“An earthquake? In Gotham?” Selena wondered out loud, shocked. “Well no time to sit here and marvel, Selena, you have to get your fine ass out of here.”
Selena narrowed her eyes and shot forward, gaining momentum as the metal door lowered to waist height. In the last second, Selena fell to the ground, sliding under the closing door before it hit the sandstone marble floor.
“Now, time to make my escape before the Bat shows up.” Before she slipped away, Selena looked back at the metal wall, glaring. “Next time my treasure, next time you will be mine.”
