i remember: ““Mistah J made me who I am. My life was just so boring before him. I started sessions at Arkham thinking I could cure him. Ha! There's no curing the brilliant. He showed me the light during 'em. When I saw what the Ratman was really like, there was no going back into that society. I broke 'im out, and he taught me everything I know. Well, mostly. I’ve stuck with him pretty much since then. I love him! And I just know he loves me, no matter what any of the doctors or he or anyone else says. We've got rough patches, but who doesn't? It's usually my fault anyways. There's a reason he keeps me around."

i remember: “Harley and I were in Arkham Asylum together and we became close friends. Well, as close at two villains in the town can get. Anyway, Harley kept talking and talking about some guy, 'Mr. J' she called him. She told me he was the most amazing man she had ever met, and hoe he changed her life blah blah blah. So when we busted out, I had no place to stay so she took me to where this 'Mr. J' and lived and worked. It turns out that the Mr. J in question was one of Gotham's most infamous criminals, The Joker. I was impressed with his finesse and ability to get the things he wanted, but his devotion for nothing but inflicting chaos is a little silly. I have my work, and he has is, I guess. Anyway, since then we've worked together a couple times; The clown, Harley, and I, but I only do it for Harley, and I never visit anymore. I find the way he treats her absolutely horrid. Not to mention, he creeps me out a little.”
Pamela says: “Well as I said, he creeps me out a little, and I despise the way he treats my friend. I have little to no respect for the Clown, but if I need to work with him to advance the glorious cause of preserving Mother Nature, so be it.”

i remember: “One time I tricked the Clown to trust me with information on a bank heist he and his henchmen were going to pull off. Why? Well the bank that was to be busted contained a diamond and ruby necklace once owned by the French queen Marie Antoinette. Anyway, I promised that, on that particular night, I would lure the Batman away, to distract him while the Clown pulled off the heist. I found the Bat alright, but I clued him in on plan, and he was off into the night, ready to snag the Joker. I followed him, and as the Joker and the Batman dueled, I slipped into the vault, snatched the necklace and left without being noticed. The Batman was successful, and that little party landed the Clown in Arkham for a whole week. I made it a point to wear the necklace the next time he was around. The joke was on the Clown this time, and i loved seeing his made up face twist into a menacing snarl.”

I find his lust for unorganized chaos to be silly, almost childish. I do flirt and taunt him whenever I get the chance, I love to get him and his little sidekick, Harley Quinn, riled up and angry. I wouldn't want to see him go anywhere though, he keeps the Bat distracted most of the time, and he's good for a laugh or two.”

i remember: “taking him down that first time, right beside Bruce and Dick. It was one of the most exhilirating moments of my life. After a while though, chasing him was the only fun part. Catching him was always boring because he would always escape not long after he was locked up. It got to be a little redundant. Then it happened. I was at home, alone. I had been in the shower and didn't even hear him come in. To this day, I still don't know how he knew where I lived. I don't think he even knew I was Batgirl; all that mattered was that I was the only family, in town, of the man that helped Batman put him behind bars multiple times. I'd been getting dressed when I left the bathroom, that was when I saw him. I tried to run back into the bathroom for safety but he shot me in the back, my spine. I went down and I didn't realize it fully then, but I couldn't move, at all. What happened afterwards...it was all a game to him, a joke. A killing joke...”
barbara says: “I used to think that he could be changed, reform, be who he once was again. Now I know better. Villains like the Joker can't and don't want to change. Because of what he did to me, it's hard not to be biased or just plain hate him, I try to be fair and unjudgmental, but I have to be honest. And, honestly, I can't wait for the day Joker is put out of his misery for good.”

i remember: “The day I came back to Gotham, The Joker was front page news. He'd blown up Gotham General. Some welcome home surprise, huh? I didn't worry myself about him too much. Well, not more than anyone else worries about him. As Huntress I had the mob to deal with. He had helped the mob, yes, but really, he was the Bat Family's problem. Well, now that I've started helping Nightwing and, occasionally, Batman... I guess he 's become my problem too. I faced him three times now, I think. Of course, Nightwing has been with me each time. We send him back to that wet paper bag of an asylum. He breaks out every time. Like clockwork. If I ever got him one on one, I'd kill him. Save everone the trouble. It makes so much more sense. ”
Helena says: “The Joker is as crazy as a person can be and still function, I'm pretty sure. If you can call what he does "functioning". He's more dangerous than most mobsters put together and ten times as smart. We've got alot of vicious people in Gotham, villains who will kill you just as soon as look at you, but the Joker is the king of them all. I'll be honest, he's the one who scares me the most. Frankly, he's just creepy. I HATE clowns. ”

No one could tell me a thing about this guy, which made it almost a personal mission for me to get some sort of information about him. Thus far we haven't met up. Words gets around the precinct, though. It doesn't take much to spook most of the guys at the station. They tell Joker stories late at night trying to out-do each other... like kids at a slumber party. ”
