While browsing batman_lulz...

Sooo, I was browsing the batman_lulz livejournal community....partly, because that's what I do when I'm distracted, partly because I wanted to see if they had any funn Batman/Watchmen crossover lulz so I had an excust to tell everyone that I just saw the Watchmen movie and loved it. Aaaaaaand, I found THIS!!

At first, you think it's just someone pointing out the rather obvious Batman and Robin poster that I noticed the first time I watched this scene. But WAIT! Look closer! See the bulletin board to the right of the door?? Read the first paper on it. See the word GOTHAM??? But it gets better!!! Read the sign above the bulletin board! GOTHAM OPERA HOUSE! Now...look at the scared looking people standing in the doorway...MR. AND MRS WAYNE?!? So, are we to deduce that Hollis Mason (aka Night Owl I) stopped the Waynes from being murdered?!? Or is the fever getting to my brain....ahahah in any case, I thought it was a neat little nod to the awesomeness that is Batman. :)

If you have the Watchmen DVD, the director actually talks about this scene -- along with all the other iconic moments in the opening credits. The only thing that would've made this clip even better was if a little boy had been with "Mr. and Mrs. Wayne". THAT would've sealed the deal for me! lol

Hahahah I bet Brucey was there, just hiding behind Alfred!! :) I realyl should watch the commentary though, I'm a very new Watchmen fan. People have been telling me I'd love it for ages aaaand I finally rented the movie!! I intend to get the graphic novel next time I go to a bookstore...
